Hop, Skip or Lunge into Spring!

Spring is all about change and growth. Warmth and light are starting to return and it feels great, right? We also have changed. You are not the same person you were yesterday let alone last year. To honor this inner and outer change of seasons I’ve developed a Yoga sequence to help guide you to where you want to be.

Where do you want to evolve to this Spring?


Stand at the back of your mat. Gaze at the empty space in front of you. This is where you will be very shortly but first set your intention for where you want to be….direct your destiny.



Inhale life giving oxygen and take a big step forward with your left foot into where you want to be- see where you want to go and step right into it. Exhale and get comfy then inhale and lift your arms up above your head victoriously. Reach high! Reach for the stars!



Now to ignite the fire in your belly. This cleansing fire fuels your desires as well as burning through any psychological knots that may be holding you back from reaching your full potential.

Sweep your right arm back and left arm forward. Both arms shoulder height. Look towards back arm or just in the direction of the twist. Keep hips square to the front and even with the earth. FEEL the heat this creates and use it to fuel your vision.


Now for the closing asana. Warrior attitude is essential for success in all we do. There’s always challenges that test our strength so prepare here by cultivating your warrior attitude. Sweep left arm forward  and right arm back both to shoulder height. Hips open to the right. Back heal to the ground. Left knee directly over ankle. Take up some room! Hold your space! Breathe and be the warrior that you are!

Then step to the back of your mat to reflect before repeating on the other side.
