Now it may seem like I am teaching you to suck eggs here but in all honesty if you make Protein porridge rubbishy the first time and then turn your back on it you are really missing out on a great Breakfast option. Its super simple and is the perrrrfect post workout full of protein, complex carbs and fats. Everything your body needs for optimum recovery.
Protein Porridge – Ingredients
50g fine oats
1 scoop protein powder
1 egg white
Natural nut butter
Put your oats in a bowl and cover with around a cup of water
Pop them in the microwave for 1.30 minutes
Take them out, give them a good stir and add the egg white then put them back in the microwave for a further minute.
Take them out and stir some more, depending on the power of your microwave and how thick you like your oats you may want to pop them in again for another 30-60 seconds.
Once you are happy with the consistency, add a scoop for protein (I use MaxiNutrition Promax). Give them another good stir.
Top with a tea spoon of nut butter and if you fancy it some cinnamon and enjoy x
