Pimm’s O’Clock Smoothie

Now I stumbled upon this delightfully fresh and tasty smoothie recipe when getting ready for a Family BBQ. I had just trained and so was about to make my post workout Smoothie when I was also handed the task of chopping up the fruit for the Pimm’s jugs.  So whilst hacking way at the cucumber and strawberries I thought might as well pop them into my smoothie to see what happens. And I am very glad I did!

What You Will Need

  • smoothie-pimms-pimm's-recipe-cucumber-strawberries-spinach-protein-powder-green-red-wood-shadow-fruit-glass-sundial-sun-dial-sunshine-sunny-protein-powderA Large handful of Spinach Leaves
  • 3 very large strawberries or 6 smaller ones (one for decoration)
  • 1/4 of Avocado
  • 1/4 of a cucumber or about 2 inches of Cucumber
  • 1 scoop of Maxitone strawberry sundae Protein Powder (I’m sure any strawberry flavoured protein would do but if you have strawberry and vanilla protein it will make it smoother tasting like an ice cream. Or if you are not watching your weight just add a little vanilla ice cream.)
Fill to the max line with water.

I always like to add a little coconut water when I have it in the fridge for extra rehydration. It can also enhance the sweetness but its not a must have for the recipe!

I simply whizzed it all up in my Nutribullet and added the strawberry on the top for personal satisfaction!
